For instance, during breakfast, as our guests savor freshly baked croissants and share their plans for the day with us, we jump in with our personal favorite spots and attractions. Your day.As a housekeeping team member at Mr. Jordaan, no day is the same. Examples of your responsibilities include:.
Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the highest level of cleanliness in both rooms as in public areas
• Communicating all relevant information throughout the day directly to the front office
• Organizing and providing consistent tidiness
• Assisting in-house guests with practical information or special requests when needed

Job requirements
Your profile:

• You are a positive, friendly and helpful person
• You are a team player but also enjoy working independently
• You have a flexible attitude towards working during weekends
• You are a perfectionist with an eye for detail
• You have at least 1-year experience in the housekeeping department
• You are available to work on Sundays
• You have knowledge of the English or Dutch language and you are able to express yourself in at least one of the languages
• You are located in Amsterdam

We're a little different from the average hotel. We're located in the heart of the Jordaan, the sassy, smart village in midtown with its exciting art studios, quirky little shops and authentic Amsterdam bars & cafés - where Sundays get as comfy and as quiet as a tiny French town. This is where our founder decided to advertise his bed at the local tourist agency, decades ago…Home away from Home.

People loved it. They flocked. So the couch turned into a room, which turned into two, which expanded into a full floor, then into more floors until even the house next door gave in and became part of the hotel.

Many things have changed over the years. But the good things we kept.

Mr. Jordaan is still for travellers. It still is for the curious, the original. For people who look a little further and leave plenty of room for surprises & little treasures, unnoticed by travel books, tourist guides and backpack blogs.
