Amsterdam
Gepubliceerd: 2 dagen geleden
Job description
The July is where great stories begin… The July is a premium hospitality brand that's bringing the human touch to the way people travel. We build beautifully designed spaces in different locations around the world. Our teams have the ambitious goal to develop multiple new apartment-hotels across prime European cities like London, Dublin, Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona. Each location has the local stories and spirit interwoven through the apartment-hotel's distinctive design. The aim? For guests to completely relax, go on new adventures, and create interesting connections. In short, to stay their way. The July is a company of people who love people, it's as simple as that! From guests to fellow colleagues, we all take ownership of the organization. That's why we've been awarded as a Great Place to Work not once, but twice! Ready to take your accounting skills to the next level and help drive our international growth? We're looking for you!The job As our Senior AP & Accounting Specialist, you are the backbone of our day-to-day finance operations. You ensure that AP ledgers are up-to-date, payments run smoothly, cash positions are always clear, VAT obligations are met, and that our finance processes keep improving as we grow internationally. This is not a traditional Accounts Payable role. It's a key operational finance position where you combine precision, ownership and an improvement mindset with a supportive hospitality attitude towards colleagues and stakeholders. With our recent first hotel opening outside the Netherlands and more international openings ahead, you will operate in a dynamic environment where new processes, entities and improvements are part of the journey offering room to grow towards Head of Accounting. You will work closely with the accounting team (2 FTE), the wider organization and external partners, and report to the Accounting & Financial Control Manager. Responsibilities ● Manage invoice processing and maintain accurate AP ledgers ● An active role in the period-end closing process ● Operational cash management and monthly cash position updates ● Ownership of the weekly payment run and banking interfaces ● Ensure accurate and timely bank processing● Prepare and submit Dutch VAT returns ● Support VAT and compliance topics for foreign entities ● Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems and workflows ● Oversight of the Finance mailbox and follow-up
